Born with creativity at its core, John founded what is now known as GALLEGOS United in 2001 and immediately challenged the Hispanic advertising industry to set a higher bar for creativity. He has more than 30 years of experience providing brands the foresight, capabilities and sensibilities needed to achieve exponential success. As the marketplace transformed, John also transformed the agency and made significant investments to expand GALLEGOS United cultural sensibilities to further help brands achieve growth in a diverse market. With his guidance as an astute leader, the agency has become one of the most recognized independent creative agencies in the United States, garnering industry recognition; including being named AdAge Agency of the Year in 2007, AdWeek Multicultural Agency of the Year in 2008, an “Agency to Watch'' by AdAge in 2015, a Top 15 Effective Independent Agency in North America by Effie in 2014, and Top 10 Creative Agency by WARC. With the additional collection of over 325 creative awards received since its inception, the growth of GALLEGOS United represents John’s commitment to the industry and his passion for innovation.
Serving as Chief Operating Officer, Jennifer manages company operations, marketing and communications; as well as business development. Prior to her role at the agency, Jennifer led brand stewardship agency growth at David&Goliath for 4-years. She also held roles at DDB, Young & Rubicam and McCann Erickson where she led several high caliber accounts and supported new business efforts.
Throughout her 20-year career, Jennifer has also managed and led strategy for a number of iconic brands, including for Beats by Dr. Dre, Coca-Cola, VIZIO, Carl’s Jr, Sony Electronics, Subway, Taco Bell and much more. While at GALLEGOS United she has been instrumental in bringing a more diversified portfolio of brands and opportunities into the agency with the expertise to bridge general and multicultural markets.
Harvey Marco has accrued a technically savvy, yet artfully poignant, base of knowledge throughout his 30 years of experience, which he masterfully applies as he superintends all creative efforts for GALLEGOS United. He has received top honors in virtually every award show including, Cannes International Festival of Creativity, D&AD, The One Show, Effie’s, Webbies, CLIOs and was named by AdAge as a Top 50 Creative in the U.S. A well-known name in the industry. His work showcases a diverse range of categories and brands, including Toyota, Cadbury, Kimberly Clark, Citi Bank, Miller Lite and Mazda to name a few. Harvey was previously at an agency he helped launch called WPP's Garage Team Mazda, serving as their Chief Creative Officer. Harvey has held leadership positions at notable agencies around the country such as JWT NY, SAATCHI & SAATCHI Los Angeles, and Fallon Minneapolis.
Mark is a visionary leader bringing 20 years of expertise related to today’s digital landscape and its future transformation to the agency. As Chief Innovation Officer, Mark is responsible for all digital and social output across the independent agencies. Responsibilities include driving innovation in the tools, capability, and work to build out meaningful brand experiences that drive value for people and businesses. Prior to joining the agency, Mark was at BBDO Worldwide where he served as Chief Innovation Officer for Europe and then Director of Innovation for the Americas before becoming Chief Innovation Officer for the global advertising agency network’s Mars Inc. business. Before joining BBDO, Mark was Managing Director at Ogilvy Change, the behavioral interventions agency, and at Social.Lab, the social media agency, both within Ogilvy & Mather Group. Mark has been responsible for some of the industry’s most innovative and creative work picking up many awards from Cannes Lions, Clio’s, Effie’s, One Show and more.
Mark is a board director and trustee at The Ideas Foundation, a charitable organization that helps put creativity back into the classroom by connecting brands, agencies, and schools.
A veteran in the advertising industry, Andrew’s experience includes decades of crafting imaginative campaign strategy for global brands like Audi, Toyota, Hyundai and Nissan as well as Sony, NASDAQ, Travelocity, and Nationwide Insurance. Prior to his role at GALLEGOS United, Andrew served as Partner and Chief Strategy Officer at McKinney. Andrew also led two of the most progressive and highly-awarded agencies in Australia and New Zealand, including Publicis Communication NZ and Mojo Partners, as Chief Executive Officer and managing partner. In addition, he has served as Chair to both the 4As Account Planning Group and the Jay Chiat Strategy Festival. Andrew’s dedication to delivering outstanding work has been recognized by some of the most notable advertising industry awards, including 35 Effie Awards.
Mike has broad experience on both the agency and the client side. He began his career in Fortune 500 companies such as PepsiCo, Occidental Petroleum and Unilever with roles in accounting and finance rising to senior leadership within a brief period. Moving into middle market companies, Mike took on executive positions leading finance and operations in the professional services industry. He lead finance and operations for twenty years at Alcone Marketing Group (Omnicom) as well as holding CFO roles at several privately owned companies. Throughout Mike’s career he has held leadership roles with responsibility for revenues ranging from $5 million to over $1 billion.
Mike has been able to bring his broad experience to companies, assisting owners and executive teams with profit improvement, establishing strategic and operating plans, systems analyses & implementation, and much more. He is also a partner at CSuite Financial Partners.
With a focus on creating advertising efforts that have delivered unprecedented business growth and brand love, J.P. has repeatedly demonstrated his dedication to his colleagues and clients. Prior to joining GALLEGOS United in 2013, J.P. held a position at WPP’s Bravo New York as part of the management team. While there, he led the agency’s retail business unit that included the CVS/pharmacy and BestBuy accounts. Before his role at Bravo, J.P. continued to move up the ranks at Omnicom Group’s Dieste and ultimately managed its New York office. While there, he worked with prestigious marketers such as PepsiCo, Hewlett-Packard, HBO, and Diageo. Throughout his 20 years of experience, J.P. has proven to be an effective “creative suit” leading teams that have yielded work lauded by NY Festivals, Addys, Webby, One Show, FIAP, and Effie, among others.
James has over 20 years of experience leading global brands in the development of integrated campaigns spanning numerous audience segments with an emphasis in the Asian market, both domestic and international. Prior to joining GALLEGOS United, James lived in Taiwan for four years where he learned Mandarin and acquired his interest in marketing. After moving back to the U.S. he received his MBA and started working on the client side, leading retail advertising for Lands’ End. Once he moved to California, he began to utilize his Asian background while working at the leading Asian American communications agency, interTrend, for almost 10 years. There he led strategic account efforts across multiple categories for many Fortune 100 companies such as AT&T, Disney, Chase, State Farm and JCPenney. Following interTrend, he expanded his direct and loyalty marketing experience while working with Health Net and Shell Oil. Currently James oversees got milk?’s total market efforts in California, and national multicultural marketing for Chick-fil-A and SiteOne.
